Our Founder and Head Instructor is Courtney Hobson who has been teaching riding lessons for over 15 years. She has always enjoyed teaching new students the Joy of horses and how FUN it can be when you become one with the horse. Courtney's career really got started by giving lessons to a family friend's daughter who was Autistic and Courtney enjoyed that so much she has said over and over thru the years how wonderful it would be to do more therapy riding. Courtney has volunteered at several therapeutic riding facilities and gained tons of knowledge along with providing additional riding sessions with other disabled students thru the years. Courtney continues to enjoy working with disabled students along with the able bodied students as well. Courtney has put together a program that makes riding safe, FUN, educational, and therapeutic.

In December 2009 Courtney because even more interested and felt one step closer to understanding the needs of her students when she was involved in a serious car accident where she was hit head on by another driver. Her injuries along with a serious staph infection that went all the way to the bone left Courtney wheelchair bound for many months and her ankle will never be the same again.  Through all those trials and set backs she feels she received a better understanding of the need for therapeutic riding and the hope it will provide for all those involved. She realized even more now not only are horses and therapy are good for the body, muscles, and balance but they also are WONDERFUL healing for the mind and the soul. Just spending time in their presence and being with them is therapy in and of itself. Courtney through her own experience over the past year has learned how the horses can provide better therapy then even she ever imagined.
