I have been a tattooist since 1971 and opened my first studio in Tucson in 1976. Ancient Art Tattoo was orginally founded by J. D. Crowe from Virginia Beach, VA in the early eighties and we, being good friends, formed a co-op along with a few other artists using the same name. Our purpose was to promote safe tattooing at its finest. You will find that the artists at Ancient Art are more than able to complete that perfect custom tattoo for you. We are very talented artists and all care that you recieve the best. Each artist has been trained in the knowledge of blood-borne pathogens which means that you are going to receive a safe tattoo.

During the nineties I partnered with J. D. Crowe and hosted fourteen tattoo conventions called "Tattoo Tour" around the US. J.D. and I were the "memory makers" of that decade since we brought artists together from across the land to share in the "art of giving."
