Abacus Accounting Southwest LLC was established to provide small businesses accurate and timely information and enable you to control and manage your small business instead of your books. As the managing member I embrace a “hands on” approach to this business. I have gained extensive experience in the last 20 years learning accounting in a variety of areas. I have been a general manager for a multi-national retail chain where I quickly learned the importance of the financial statements. In addition, I have used those same acquired skills in my own restaurant venture, where just like most small business owners; I performed all aspects of managing the business. The valuable time in the restaurant industry helped me come to the understanding that one person simply cannot “do it all.” This painful lesson gave me new respect for the accounting industry. Over the last 10 years I worked directly in accounting for a variety of small businesses in the retail sector, service based industry and in accounting firms. I believe in education at all times and have become a member of associations that support bookkeeping and payroll continued education. In addition, I am also a Certified Pro Advisor in QuickBooks and continue to take additional college classes in accounting. I know that my experience and education can help you do what you do best - get back to building and managing your small business!
