Dr. A. Ozzie Jafarnia, or "Dr. Ozzie" as she is known to her patients grew up in the East Bay, and is proud to be Danville's only American Board of Pediatric Dentistry certified dentist.

She graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, where she met her college sweetheart and husband, Ali. Following her undergraduate education, Dr. Ozzie completed a one year post-baccalaureate fellowship with UCSF, where she was part of numerous outreach efforts in the San Francisco area.

Dr. Ozzie then began dental school at the University of Pacific, where she graduated with honors. Her interest in children began while working as a teacher before dental school and while at UOP, she found that her true passion was in treating the child patient.

Upon graduation, Dr. Ozzie began a rigorous two year residency program and at one of the premier children's hospitals in the country , Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. While training in an institution with such vast resources, Dr. Ozzie was able to treat a wide variety of healthy, trauma and special needs patients. During the program, she was able to work very closely with the hematology-oncology team, craniofacial team and the emergency department.

However, there is no place like home! Dr. Ozzie and Ali moved to San Ramon, where they spend much of their free time with their daughters Caroline and Emme, as well as their family and friends. Dr. Ozzie began practicing in the area, while also spending teaching at her alma mater in the Pediatric Dentistry department.

She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the California Dental Association. She is also gives back to the community through the Give Kids a Smile Program, annually.
