Mission
Acorn Learning Center was established in 1987, with a mission to provide high quality preschool program for children and their families. 

Our program carefully assesses the developmental stages of the early childhood years and creates appropriate programs. 

The curriculum and the environment in each classroom is set up to promote the wonder of discovery and learning for each child. Educationally qualified and experienced teachers provide a warm and challenging atmosphere where children are encouraged to explore and develop to their full potential.

Philosophy
Acorn Learning Center believes in providing a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the individual needs of a child. All learning experiences are interactive and child-centered. Curriculum goals are established for each classroom based on the developmental hallmarks of the age group. 

We incorporate into our curriculum a variety of experiences that will motivate and stimulate each child to become active, life-long learners. We hope to foster in children the sense of joy and wonder that is an essential part of early childhood years. We strive to provide a caring and nurturing environment in which all children can feel capable and loved.

Faculty
We are committed to hiring educationally qualified teachers who are personally and professionally devoted to the exceptional care, welfare and quality education of children.

Most of our teachers exceed academic qualifications by California licensing regulations and have an average of more than five years of teaching experience at quality preschools. In addition, teachers are CPR and first-aid certified. More importantly, they are enthusiastic and enjoy their work with children. This is reflected in the positive environment they create for the children.

Communication
Acorn Learning Center keeps in touch through school newsletters, weekly lesson plans, parent/teacher conferences and special school events.

We always welcome your questions, comments and suggestions regarding your child’s progress. School-wide teacher/parent conferences are held once or twice a year, as well, Acorn hosts Open Houses during the school year.

State Licensing
Acorn learning Center is a state licensed facility. State licensed schools undergo full evaluations.
