CLEANING METHOD

Elite Carpet Cleaning uses Rotovac cleaning equipment featuring: Rotary Vacuum Heads which thoroughly clean your carpet from all directions with hundreds of multi-directional cleaning passes.

Six vacuum slots and six spray jets rotate at 250 rpm to produce 1500 multi-directional cleaning passes per minute Also the Rotovac on average leaves the carpet about 20% drier when compared to a manual scrub wand under similar conditions.

Our complete carpet cleaning includes:
1). Pre-conditioner to treat grease, spills and stubborn stains.
2). Deep scrubbing
3). Rinse extraction
4). Final grooming to gently fluff your carpet.

DO IT YOURSELF TIPS

Wine Stain

To clean wine spills from carpet, sprinkle liberally with salt and gently work the salt into the base of the stain with a cloth. Let the salt absorb all of the wine. Then blot with dampened cloth.

Candle Wax Stain

To remove wax from carpet, first chip off as much of the surface wax as possible, using a butter knife or credit card. Then, place several layers of paper towel over remaining wax, and apply a warm iron to draw wax into the paper towels. Replace the paper towels if they become saturated. You could also try using an acetone-based nail polish remover, or a spot dry-cleaning solution with acetone, but remember to always test in an inconspicuous spot first.

Ink Stain

To remove ink from your carpet, you can use either rubbing alcohol or hairspray on a clean white cloth. Continue to blot the stain until it disappears.

Adhesive Residue

To remove an adhesive residue or tape residue from carpet, try using rubbing alcohol to loosen the adhesive. If this doesn’t work, try a commercial adhesive remover.

Coffee Stain

Coffee stains on carpet are tricky, but you should still be able to remove the stain by using dry-cleaning solvent. Blot the stain using a clean cloth, replacing the cloth as necessary whenever it gets saturated.

Grease Stain

Some greasy stains can be removed with baking soda, cornstarch, cornmeal, or talcum powder. Leave on 6 to 8 hours, and then vacuum.
You can also try to remove minor grease stains from your carpet with shaving cream or carbonated water. Let dry, then vacuum.

Grape Juice Stain

To remove a grape juice stain from your carpet, spray the area with shaving cream from an aerosol can then sponge it with water.

Cranberry Juice Stain

To remove a cranberry juice stain from your carpet, you can try saturating the stain with hydrogen peroxide (let sit for 5 minutes, and blot out excess liquid with a clean white cloth; repeat if necessary).

Hair Dye Stain

Unfortunately, hair dye can rarely be thoroughly removed from carpet as it permanently alters the carpet’s color. However, there are several steps you can try. First, try blotting the stain with rubbing alcohol. If that doesn’t work, try blotting the stain with a solution of 1/4 cup liquid hand dishwashing detergent per cup of warm water. If that doesn’t work, try blotting the stain with a solution of 1 cup white vinegar per 2 cups of water, then rinse with warm water and a white cloth. You may also wish to try a liquid peroxide based cleaner. Be sure to let the carpet dry in between trying different cleaners.

Hairspray Stain

To remove the hardened hairspray from your carpet, you can first try using a wet cloth and a little shampoo. If that doesn't work, try saturating the stain with ammonia, let it sit for 5 minutes, then blot out excess liquid with a clean white cloth; repeat if necessary.

Lipstick Stain

You can try scrubbing the area with a non-gel (white) toothpaste, as this is very effective at removing lipstick.
Another method is to combine 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide with 1 TBS. of ammonia. Dab it on with a towel until the area is saturated. Then, take a piece of plastic wrap and put it down on the spot and cover with a stack of heavy books. Let sit overnight. Rinse well in the morning.

If you find that no matter how much you vacuum, your carpet still does not look like it used to, it may be time for deep cleaning. While there are do-it-yourself cleaning methods on the market, hiring a professional is the safest, fastest and easiest options.

To keep your carpet at peak performance, Elite recommends professionally deep cleaning your carpet every 6 to 12 months. (Be sure to check your carpet warranty for particular requirements.)

The following tips will help you get the best results from hiring a professional carpet cleaning service provider:

    * Show the cleaning professional any problem areas and spots or pet stains that need special attention.

* To prevent voiding warranties, contact the carpet manufacturer before allowing additional treatment, such as re-applying stain treatments.

    * Wait for the carpet to dry completely before walking on the carpet or moving the furniture back into the room. If you replace the furniture too quickly, rust or stains from paint or finishes could mar the carpet permanently.
