About Us The Crofut Family Winery & Vineyard is a 63-acre farm and vineyard. There are 6.5 acres of commercial vines planted in 2003-2004, including University of Minnesota varieties: Frontenac, Frontenac Gris, and LaCrescent. The test vineyard, located at the entrance to the property, is assessing experimental grape vine varieties for hardiness, disease resistance and of course, taste! The Crofut family has been making wine for three generations. Don has won numerous awards for his winemaking at State and County Fairs. Visitors will see the grape harvest and processing of grapes for juice and wine production. Check our our virtual tour of the vineyard! Live vineyard tours include a tour of our vineyards, winemaking facility, cask room and bottling area with an expert guide and conclude with a wine tasting. All guests are welcome to walk the vineyards; guests younger than 21 are restricted from the wine tasting. Please bring a driver’s license or other proper identification.
