Welcome to the Diaper Alliance.

The Diaper Alliance (MCDB) provides FREE diapers to our partner agencies who serve needy families in Midland County by holding fundraisers and diaper drives in our community. By mid-summer of 2013, we plan to expand to the entire region. Diapers are purchased for wholesale prices with monetary donations. We encourage Churches, businesses, schools and organizations to collect for The Diaper Alliance. All of the diapers are then given to our Partner Agencies.

Our Partner Agencies in Midland County forward their diaper requests to us and we prepare their orders to be picked up. The diapers are given free of charge to clients of our partner agencies who are unable to afford diapers for their children or adult family members. We do not provide diapers directly to individuals.

Our partners include: Shelterhouse, Pregnancy Resource Center, Salvation Army, West, North and Railway Family Centers, Senior Services, Caregiving Network, Department of Human Services, Personal Assistance Options, Early On, Head Start and others. You must be a registered client of one of the listed agencies to receive diapers.

babyI am sorry, Honey. Mommy just doesn’t have any clean diapers…’

Most of us have never had to tell our child that we have no way to make the stinging pain from the diaper rash go away, but some parents in Midland County are forced to do just that. Rent, food, gas and other expenses turn diapers into a luxury item for struggling families rather than the necessity they truly are.

manSenior citizens and the disabled who cannot afford incontinence supplies often lose their independence, not leaving their homes in fear of having an ‘accident’ in public.

  • 15-20% of all adults over age 65 suffer some degree of incontinence.

  • Abuse is more likely in a multi-generational household facing the added stress of incontinence.

  • ladyIncontinence is among the most common reasons for seniors to be put in nursing homes.

  • Healthy but incontinent seniors and disabled individuals often become homebound if they can't afford supplies.  This can lead to isolation, depression and increased need for assistance programs.

Please join with The Diaper Alliance as we work to bridge the gap for these vulnerable families. Together we can make a difference if we work to ‘keep families covered…’

Ways you can help…

  • Sponsor a Fundraiser or Diaper Drive or at work, school, organization, or your place of worship.

  • Make a financial contribution. We are now able to purchase brand name diapers at less than 8 cents apiece!

  • Have everyone in your club bring a package of diapers to your monthly meeting.

  • Make a package of diapers the ‘entrance fee’ to an event.

  • Have a raffle or fundraiser and donate the proceeds.

  • Spread the word about this great need! We operate on contributions only, and can continue only with support from our community.

The Diaper Alliance is an all volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization serving Midland, MI. We work to meet the need for diapers at partner agencies working with individuals and families in crisis.

Company Overview

The Diaper Alliance (MCDB)works to meet the need for diapers at partner agencies working with individuals and families in crisis. We exist because there are no Federal or State programs that pay for or provide diapers. Through the generosity of our community, we have been able to help vulnerable families who may otherwise have to use newspaper and grocery bags to diaper their children. YES, this DOES happen in Midland.

General Information

We are currently sharing a building with the Emergency Food Pantry Network and the SAMS Food Pantry at 503 S. Saginaw Road, Midland, MI. We accept monetary donations as well as diapers and even take partial packages. We repackage the diapers and then they are offered to our Partner Agencies.

If you have a need, please contact one of our partner agencies for help. We distribute through our partner agencies.
