About us

McKinney Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital offering wellness care, geriatric care, hospitalization, diagnostic lab, diagnostic services, surgery services, dental care, grooming services, and boarding/day care services. We refer after hours emergencies to the Emergency Animal Clinic of Collin County.

The owner and founder of McKinney Animal Hospital is Dr. Mike Bloomer. He and his associate veterinarians have a combined total of over 40 years in practice. We have a combined staff of over 30 highly qualified, compassionate team members with varied backgrounds and talents.

Our hospital is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau. Our doctors are members of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA), the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association (DCVMA), and the Collin County Veterinary Medical Association (CCVMA).
