About Adventure Boot Camp for Women: Locations in McKinney and Plano, TX

A four-week comprehensive program of fitness instruction, food modification, nutritional counseling, diet planning, & motivational training provided What is Adventure Boot Camp for Women?
A four week outdoor program of fitness instruction, nutritional education and motivational training. You will be inspired and have fun while participating in a fantastic workout led by Certified Adventure Fitness Trainers Kristin Goodenough (McKinney boot camps) or Joni Wilson (Plano boot camps). Each day, camp will be one hour in length starting at 5:30 a.m. or 7:00 p.m. depending on location.

Where is the location we meet?

McKinney Location:

The McKInney Adventure Boot Camps  meet at McKinney High School in McKinney. The Boot Camp is conveniently located off of hwy 75 at 1400 Wilson Creek Pkwy in McKinney, TX. Our bad weather location is at:

7290 Virginia Pkwy  

Each Thursday campers will travel a short distance away from the "base camp" for a fun hill workout. Our  location on Thursdays is at:

 Plano Locations:

The Plano Adventure Boot Camps meet at two different locations.  The 5:30 a.m. camp meets at the Brinker Elementary School (near the Tom Muehienbeck Center) located at 3800 Clark Parkway in Plano.  

 What types of exercises are included in the program?
Exercises include: Kettlebell and Sandbag training, Equalizer exercises, core conditioning, functional training, short distance running (less than 1.2 miles), muscular strength, jumping rope, circuit training, hiking, obstacle courses, medicine ball training, Kick Boxing, Pilates mat exercises, surprises and more! This technique was developed by fitness expert John Spencer Ellis.

How often will we meet?
Participants will meet every Monday through Friday for one hour during the four-week program. There is also a 3 and 4 day option but camp is designed as a 5 day a week program.  If you are not attending all 5 days campers should plan on alternate workouts on the days they are not in camp. 3 day campers should plan to attend on MW & F and 4 day campers should attend MTW & F but you can pick the days you attend.  All participants will be expected to check their e-mail for any important updates and to arrive on time with their weights, mat and water bottle.

What if I'm not very physically fit?
NOBODY will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. Nor will anybody go home unchallenged! Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate but you should be free from injury. Each day will slightly increase in intensity. You will inspire and be inspired by others. 

When does the next Adventure Boot Camp Start?

What do I need to bring?
A thick exercise mat (not a yoga mat), set of hand weights(5-12lbs.), water bottle, running shoes, and a sense of adventure. McKinney Gym Equipment offers members of Adventure Boot Camp a special "boot camper start up deal" where they provide our campers with their weights, mat, strength training gloves or any other piece of equipment at a special one time discounted rate of 5%off. What can I achieve from camp?
Your body will become more fit and toned, and you will gain more confidence making a dramatic improvement in your physical well-being. The camp program includes exercises designed to firm your butt and thighs, flatten your stomach, reduce body fat and increase stamina. By losing fat and gaining muscle, you'll lose inches and gain strength while looking and feeling better. Also, you'll meet great people who share in the same vision of striving to reach their goals for a healthier mind and body. Plus you'll receive a FREE Adventure Boot Camp T-Shirt and earn your Adventure Boot Camp Dog Tags.

Why should I participate?
You will make a dramatic improvement in your physical and mental well-being. In addition, you'll meet great people who share your same passion for acquiring a more healthy body and mind. You will be inspired, empowered and discover just how much fun you can have exercising!

What is the cost (investment in myself)?
Each 4 week program is $299, averaging less than $15 per class. Where else can you get premiere or cutting edge fitness instruction for that incredible price? Personal trainers can typically charge $60 to $150 per hour for their services - this is a great opportunity to receive motivating fitness instruction by a certified personal trainer for just a fraction of the cost.

Other Options:
You can also choose to come four days for $249, three days per week for $199 or 2 days for $159.  Campers can also purchase a special "drop in only" card so that they can come and go whenever their schedule permits.  Note: even greater results occur when you enroll in the full 5 day per week program. We know this from years of experience. Campers can also start at any time!  We will always work with you!

We are now accepting registrations for the next camp! 

Pre-camp Assessments will be scheduled once registration and payment have been received.  Assessments take about 30 minutes and are a great time to meet your trainer and have your questions answered as well as to establish your starting point by having your measurements taken.  All assessments will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis with the last day for assessments being the Saturday before camp begins (August 7, 2010).   We will do our best to accommodate you but the sooner we receive your registration the sooner we can schedule you in and reserve your spot.   Pre-Camp Assessments are not mandatory.  Fitness Testing is conducted on the first Wednesday  of camp to further establish your starting point.

Final fitness testing takes place the last Wednesday of camp so that you can see how much your strength and endurance has improved.  Post-camp Assessments are also scheduled the Saturday after camp ends to record your final measurements and further document your progress. Details will be sent out the final week of camp. Post-camp Assessments are by appointment only.

  • Registration is just $299 for a 5 day 4-week camp ($249 for the 4 day program, $199 for the 3 day and $159 for 2 days).
