Which came first, the wing or the sauce?

On one hand, everyone loves wings. The National Chicken Council projects Americans will eat 13.5 billion wings this year alone. If laid end-to-end, that’s enough wings to circle Earth 22 times! So maybe it was our hankering for juicy wings which came first, begging to be dipped in something delicious?

On the other hand, when you make thirteen homemade sauces like we do–using Grandma’s recipe and fresh, local ingredients–you can’t help but wonder if it was the sauce which necessitated the wing. Hey, we make our specialty sauces with a lot of love, so we don’t want to dip just any old thing into bold flavors like our Kiawe Honey BBQ and Wasabi Something Rather! So, we use only quality bone-in wings–or boneless/skinless tenders or shrimp–and bake or fry it all to perfection.

Our conclusion is that no matter which way you look at it, wings and sauce are part and parcel. So in the world of Just Wing It, sauce is the final frontier–and wings are our vehicle of exploration.
