If ever there was a town that is a perfect setting for Flatbread, Paia, Maui is it. Balmy breezes and rollicking surg in a town filled with characters and karma. No shortage of soul here.  We teamed up with a local surf champion and his haole buddy to bring Flatbread to the Island and they and the town of Paia have shown us true Aloha.  Cucch is running the Place and he is growing many of our ingredients with great local farms and in the process is growing great fans of Flatbread.  

The history of Flatbread goes back at least 5000 years when men and women first began baking in enclosed earthen mounds.  The simple leap from an open fire to a more controlled heating process expanded the culinary possibilities for all mankind.  

Since 1998, the Flatbread Company has been introducing people to the magic of Earth and Fire, and how that combination can produce incredible tasting pizza.
So the history of Flatbread is also intertwined with local farms and local producers.  Together they produced and we prepared, served, and most importantly, the local community supported us.
