Lake Murray Veterinary Hospital, located next to Little Ceasars in Ballentine, is a full service veterinary clinic providing preventative health care, surgeries, dentals, medical workups, etc.
Prices starting at:
K-9 annual $88 (includes DHPP, Rabies, Heartworm test, Fecal test, and Exam), additional vaccines, if needed: Bordetella $12 and K-9 influenza $25
Feline annual $68 (includes FVRCP, FeLV, Rabies, and Exam), if needed: Combo FeLV/FIV $35

Dr. Janice McHenry-Hodge received her DVM degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1999. Dr. Hodge has worked in a variety of practice settings, including mixed animal practice and companion animal practice. Throughout her career she has provided preventative, surgical and emergency care to all animals including both small and large. She was raised on a diversified famil farm and was one of the few veterinarians in her rural area to practice veterinary medicine on any and all species, this gave her the experience and confidence she has today. The veterinary clinic opened on April 4th, 2011 and is located in the Ballentine/Irmo area in the shopping center next to Wal-mart.

Knowledgable staff:

Andy Hodge: office manager, co-owner, and husband to Dr. Janice was raised in Irmo and has a love of animals. They have a Chihuahua mix whom they raised on the bottle after being orphaned and brought to the clinic. Andy is also known as Handy Andy and has been a major contributor in helping get the practice up and running.

Alex Charron: veterinary technician, has 5 years previous experience in veterinary medicine and has always had a passion for all animals. She grew up with many animals and currently has two Labrador Retreivers. She lives in Irmo with her fiance, Carlos. She is the head techninician but doubles as receptionist when needed and is talented for any aspect of what is required at the clinic.

Brittany Timmons: receptionist, has 10 years of previous experience in the veterinary field. She has great compassion for all animals, large and small, growing up riding horses has given her an edge to help with the large animal portion of the veterinary clinic. She lives in Lexington with her fiance, Thomas and their six dogs (one Lab, one Pit Bull, and four Chihuahuas) and is the head receptionist. She doubles as a technician when needed and is talented for any aspect that is required.
