Located in scenic Northern Lancaster County near the heart of farm life and Amish country, Maple Spring B & B offers guests an opportunity to step back in time to a place when life was less stressful, due to its slower pace. Maple Spring B & B is located on a 10-½ acre Lancaster County farm, situated between our brick farmhouse and red bank barn. The building, which we have known as our “summer kitchen,” will offer you a romantic and unique country stay. The 2nd floor bedroom, with its cathedral ceiling, has a queen-sized bed and its own private bath with a tub and shower. A second floor door leads visitors from the bedroom to the balcony where guests can relax while taking in the scenery. On the 1st floor you will find a living room with a walk-in fireplace (gas), a full-sized sofa bed and a ½ bath. Here you may choose to relax and watch TV or enjoy a movie on the VCR provided. Also, the first floor has a fully equipped kitchen with a laundry. What charms us the most about our home, in addition to the tranquility of country life, is the beautiful view you can enjoy from the swing on the balcony of the farmhouse.

The southern view overlooks a spring-fed pond and pasture, which our resident horses, Tommy and Comanche, enjoy all summer long. You can also enjoy miles of scenic fertile Lancaster County farmland as you watch farmers busy preparing and caring for their fields, crops and animals. If you listen carefully, you might hear the sounds of roosters crowing and chickens cackling on a neighboring farm. And speaking of animals, we enjoy caring for our own farm pets, Lacey, our dog, and Bunny and Nellie, our daughters' pet rabbits. We hope that you enjoy petting them and bring an apple or carrot snack for the horses. The horses are in their retirement years and are not for riding.

Our home is located in Lancaster County in a rural setting in Ephrata, PA. We are located 10-15 minutes from the towns of Ephrata and Lititz and are only 20 minutes from the Antiques Capital of USA, in Adamstown, PA. We are a 30-minute drive from downtown Lancaster and Lebanon, and in less than an hour you can be in the Reading, Hershey and Harrisburg areas. If you enjoy day trips of approximately 2 hours, you can travel to Baltimore, MD, Gettysburg, PA, and Philadelphia, PA.
