Welcome to Asbury's Pre-School

Asbury Preschool is accepting children for the 2010-11 school year. For more information, call the church office at 563-355-5218.

Asbury Preschool is located in Asbury United Methodist Church, 1809 Mississippi Boulevard, Bettendorf, Iowa.

We offer classes for two age groups:

  • 3-4 year olds (must be 3 by Sept. 15 of the current school year) on Tuesday/Thursday, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • 4-5 year olds (must be 4 by Sept. 15 of the current school year) on Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Our 3-4 year old program is socially oriented. For most children, it is their first experience away from home in a classroom setting.

The boys and girls have exposure to coloring, painting, cutting, gluing, etc., to help develop fine motor skills and creative development, as well as activities for enhancing large motor skills. There is exposure to academics throughout the year in a less structured manner.

Our 4-5 year old program is based on a kindergarten readiness oriented curriculum. Topics covered include colors, shapes, numbers, alphabet, address, phone number, sorting, sequencing, opposites, patterning, etc.

We also spend considerable time on strengthening fine motor skills, large motor skills and creative development.

It's our goal at Asbury Preschool to provide a safe, relaxed, nurturing and fun environment in which children are free to play, experiment, be creative and share in the enjoyment of learning with one another.

It's also our hope that each child will grow and mature socially, emotionally, intellectually and have lots of fun doing so!

Please feel free to stop in at our preschool for a visit! You may also call the church office at 563-355-5218 for additional information.
