Our 26,000 member volunteers are what make our organization so remarkable. Each one is incredibly generous and imaginative. Each one is highly motivated to effect change in their communities because they have a personal stake in the outcome. And, each one has the spirit to get the job done, whatever it is and whatever it takes.

Unlike most national charities, our focus is on local chapter needs first. Assistance League actually helps our volunteers realize their vision for their communities. And all funds they raise stay in those individual communities. So their dreams become our dreams. And together, across 120 linked chapters, we help people in need achieve a better quality of life.

Additional Ways to Donate

There are many ways other than monetarily that you can donate to Assistance League. If you have excess inventory, you can donate that--from cases of toothbrushes to out-of-season clothing to eye glasses frames. Your business or store gets a tax deduction and we can always put what you have to good use. You can donate goods to your local Assistance League thrift shop or you can help fulfill a chapter's "wish list." Please contact your local chapter about specific "wish list" needs before making a donation.

Donate to a Chapter's Wish List

All of our chapters have a specific wish list of needs. By contacting your local chapter, you can find out what's high on their list of special needs, such as back-to-school clothing, school supplies, art supplies or books, to name just a few items. To find your local chapter, please click here.

Donate to a Local Thrift Shop

Sales at our Assistance League thrift shops help fund local philanthropic programs at individual chapters. If you'd like to donate gently-used clothing, furniture, books or CDs, you will receive a nice tax deduction and our sincere gratitude. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated.
