In January 2008, the Club received the Golf Digest Architecture Award in recognition of outstanding design, from the editors of Golf Digest Magazine and the National Panel of Course Raters. The course was named among the 2007-08 Best Golf Courses In The State Of Maryland. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the beautifully conditioned course features rolling fairways, challenging greens, and spectacular views. 

Open since 1981, the 18-hole course has a distinguished reputation as one of the area’s most challenging and esteemed venues, and as a favorite course for golf association events. Boasting nearly 7,100 yards from the championship tees, the course has hosted the Melwood Prince George’s County Open since 2007; part of the Nationwide PGA Tour.
