Therapy assists you in objectively examining thoughts, feelings and behaviors in situations you find problematic in your life. You and your therapist together will identify goals, discuss expectations, and asses your progress. A therapy session consists primarily of a therapeutic conversation targeted to the issues involved. In the initial session we will discuss what is troubling you and how therapy might be of help. Follow-up sessions will be designed around the type of therapy that would be most effective for your needs and goals. In couples’ counseling, we will discuss the areas of agreement, areas of conflict, issues that need to be resolved, and ways for you to restore intimacy and harmony in your relationship.
