-We went to El Sur on Cinco de Mayo. It was the first time we went there. Its only a few blocks from our house. small cozy place to relax and have the best mexican food we've had in a long time! The service was as outstanding as the food! This will definately be our favorite place and will recommend to everyone!

 -This is by far and away the best and cheapest mexican food around. I live here in Tucson and have tried almost everywhere- this one is for real. You get sauteed onions and jalapenos served at your table. Shrimp fajitas for less than $6.00, and YOU MUST ORDER the FLAN! Even if you are stuffed, it is AMAZING- you'll find room in your belly once you taste it!

-Food is AMAZING! THey brought freshly grilled onions and jalapenos to our table! WINNER!!! Service is FAST and Friendly, and relatively inexpensive. GO HERE! Do not be a restaurant snob and be intimidated by the outward appearance, it's great in there, and if you pass it up, well more for me!

-Some of the best Mexican food in Tucson. Everything is home made and you can tell. The chips, tortillas, salsa (which is served in ketchup and mustard squeeze bottles)... The enchiladas are fantastic and the bistek picado has such great flavor. I had the Cabeza burrito which was a good size and the carne was slightly fatty which just added more great flavor. The horchata here is pretty good too, on the mellow side. I enjoyed the guy that came around with roasted jalepenos and onions, hell yes I'll have some of those! The staff here kicks ass, they are always super efficient and friendly and the food is consistently great and it's cheap.

-I love El Sur. What more can I say. I've never regretted anything I've ever eaten there. The staff is totally awesome. I brought my family there over Christmas and my father-in-law is a HOT sauce aficionado. He didn't think their sauce was hot enough, so the waitress made another sauce with two addtional habinieros mixed in. The new blend was tasty and warm enough for him. But it was the extra mile that this lady went on a busy night to make him feel comfortable. That's commendable.
El Sur is one of the best Mexican restaurants in town.
