| Since the beginning of Castellaw Funeral Home, it has been the policy of our staff to make our families aware of all alternative arrangements and the cost of those services. These disclosures are made in compliance with the requirements set forth by the Federal Trade Commission. These prices have been computed according to the guidelines set forth by the F.T.C. Rule. The goods and services listed herein are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only those items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected. PACKAGES (choose from links below) We have found over the years serving families that many different financial situations occur during your lifetime. Some families don’t see the need to spend a lot, some families only have a certain amount of insurance set aside for funeral expenses, and some families can only spend a specific amount of “out of pocket” funds for funeral expenses. In an effort to assist all families in our community with all of their financial and emotional needs, we have included several different “Funeral Packages”. These packages consist of specific services with a specific casket included at a reduced rate. We have also included a worksheet to be used in comparing funeral related charges between Funeral Homes(for those families who like to shop for better prices and better services). The worksheet lists the three(3) areas of charges most funeral homes charge. Pricing varies between funeral homes. Keep in mind some funeral homes place their mark up on the services and charge less for the caskets and vaults. Other funeral homes have a lower service charge and their mark up is on the merchandise. In order to get a good, fair comparison, use the worksheet and look at the final total. We hope that this information packet will help you get started, it is designed to give you information up front, and without being pressured to commit.
