The Savannah Cabinet Shop is owned and operated by one of Savannah's most experienced master cabinetry craftsman, Steve Layden, and his step-son Walt Freeman. Steve is a Savannah native with a passion for woodworking. He began cabinet work in 1966. Walt is a Georgia native and a natural entrepreneur with a passion for building innovative, well-branded businesses. Together, over the past three years, they have developed a following of satisfied customers who appreciate Steve’s craftsmanship and Walt’s "can do" attitude.

The Savannah Cabinet Shop has been perfecting kitchen design and custom cabinetry production for over forty years. During that time, Steve Layden, the founder and co-owner of The Savannah Cabinet Shop, has built a reputation in Savannah as a master craftsman proficient in cabinetry design and kitchen remodels. His step-son, Walt Freeman, joined the company in 2005 in order to expand the business and continue the legacy of Steve’s cabinetry knowledge through to the next generation.
