Art has always held an importance with Phyllis Brady, from attending art school at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Drawing and Painting, and designing window displays for upscale retail department stores.

She founded Twigs & Ivy, and has been designing floral arrangements for the East Bay and beyond, now in its 15th year. Known for her colorful abundance of flowers, mixing vintage, modern, and urban elements, Phyllis and her design team are recognized for their signature style. Her approach to design is to start with a blank canvas, adding painterly details with flowers, vines, branches and colors, from fresh clean lines, to the updated classic, with contemporary color palettes.

She is a frequent "Guest Artist", for numerous Garden Clubs, and her work appears in the annual "Bouquets to Art", exhibit in San Francisco, as well as in numerous magazines, newspapers, and books.

Recently; she was honored to be selected to teach Floral/Design, as an Adjunct Instructor at Las Positas Community College, in the Horticulture Department, giving back to the students, the experience she learned in a similar setting.
