Thank you for visiting the Lewis No Clark Expeditions web site. We are a guide service operating primarily in Lake Lure, NC. Our specialty is private guided fishing expeditions on this beautiful man-made lake. We also guide all over western NC. I teach Fly Tying and Flyfishing at the local college. We offer half and whole day trips. All skill levels, as well as children, are welcome. Instruction and equipment will be provided for your convenience. Every trip will be designed for your personal enjoyment.

About your guide:

Michael Lewis is a licensed fishing and hunting guide with over 12 years experience in the mountains, lakes and streams of Western North Carolina. Longest running guide service on Lake Lure. Winner of the last fishing tournament on Lake Lure. Fully Insured! I haven't lost anybody yet!

Michael shares the same taste for adventure as his historically famous cousin, Meriwether Lewis.

Michael Lewis' deep knowledge, skill and patience insures you an enjoyable trip every time. 

Instruction is provided in casting, lure selection and retrieval, knot tying, plus rod and reel selection and use. 

Michael has boats and canoes available, depending on the number of people and type of fishing you desire. You will be fishing from an 18 foot Bass Cat with a 150 Mercury. Or a 17 foot Ranger that the kids can have a blast in. I also do wader tube trips for those that want to try something different.
