FantaSylk was founded in 1992 in the "Black Forest"/ Germany by Master Silk Artist and Silk Art Instructor Birgit Bartoschek.

In May 1996 Birgit relocated her art studio to Florida and in August 2001 she moved her main studio to a beautiful farm in the Foothills of North Carolina.

Birgit gained international experience and acknowledgement in many countries around the world. Her work is strongly influenced by 17+ years of International travel through Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East as well as her two Corgis Schroeder and Linus, who are the number one inspiration for all her dog and Welsh Corgi related artwork.

Birgit works as an independent artist showing her work on art-shows and festivals in the South East of the US.
