The Caribou Coffee Quality Advantage

Our Roastmasters are personally responsible for all our coffees. They've spent years in the field "quite literally" discovering and delivering the best coffees from around the world.

CARIBOU COFFEE COMMITS TO RAINFOREST ALLIANCE CERTIFIED™

FrogCaribou Coffee is proud to announce that we are the first major coffeehouse retailer in the US that has committed to sourcing 100% of our coffees from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms. So far, we are on track to achieve our goal by the end of 2011. Over 85% of our coffees are presently certified.

By working with the Rainforest Alliance, a non-profit organization with the most comprehensive sustainable agriculture certification program developed to date, we're not only helping to ensure that our customers enjoy great tasting, premium coffee but that the farm communities from which we source are benefiting from a more environmentally-, socially- and economically sustainable agricultural system.

The mission of the Rainforest Alliance is to protect ecosystems and the people and wildlife that depend on them by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior.

CropsThe Rainforest Alliance Certified seal, already found on most Caribou Coffee packaging, is a symbol of trust and high sustainability standards, indicating that workers on Rainforest Alliance Certified farms receive decent wages, have access to medical care, clean water, dignified living conditions and schools for their children, and that the coffee has been harvested and processed responsibly, protecting the surrounding environment and wildlife. We are very excited to share this seal with you on more and more —and soon to be all— of our Caribou coffees.

Rainforest Alliance Certified farms meet the rigorous environmental, social and economic standards developed by the Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN), a coalition of independent, nonprofit conservation groups that promote productive agricultural systems, biodiversity conservation and human development
