Welcome to City Center!

City Center is located downtown Redmond, OR. We are close to our community and you. We are a foursquare church.

WHAT TO EXPECT HERE

We have one early "coffee" service at 7:30am that meets in our fellowship hall, followed by two identical Sunday morning services at 9:00am and 10:45am that meet in our main sanctuary. Both of these services start with a full band for a more contemporary worship experience.

Dress up or dress casual or anything between! Take your pick! The atmosphere here at City Center is relaxed.

Nursery and Children's ministries are available at the later services. Check-in for Children's Ministries starts 15 minutes before service.

We have two parking lots available to us here at City Center. The main parking is the city parking in front of the main entrance. Other parking is also available south of the Center.

City Center Foursquare Church exists for the purpose of "bearing witness" that Jesus is both Lord and Christ. (Acts 2:36)

We are empowered by the Holy Spirit not only to bear witness, but to bear witness effectively. (Acts 1:8)

We are convinced that we can and must impact our culture, or any culture that the Holy Spirit brings us into contact with, proclaiming the power of the cross of Jesus and the sure hope of His resurrection.

With heart-felt purpose, our ministry philosophy is rooted in the leadership principles of God's faithful servant Samuel. He was empowered to build God's people, shape his community, and touch nations. He bore witness of a God who both rules and saves.

Building The Church - Samuel's faithfulness to God brought a divine presence, and Israel denounced its idolatry.

Shaping The Community - Samuel's heart for the community is revealed as he watched the Spirit at work. He then stepped up and gave godly direction. His heart was to help people love their God and know His deliverance.

Did you know.......

The Foursquare Church - officially, the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel - was founded in Los Angeles, California by Aimee Semple McPherson in 1923.

Amidst the revival days of the early 1900's, this fellowship of believers was born, determined to proclaim the solid scriptural core of Pentecostal renewal, avoiding the extremes of fanaticism on one hand and materialism on the other.

God, in His grace, has allowed us to grow from the one local fellowship to over 1900 churches in the United States and Canada. The Foursquare Church has also been established in over 123 countries of the world. These numbers are fast increasing.

We have no desire to compete or compare. We rejoice for every body of believers who lifts the blood-stained banner of Jesus Christ. The Foursquare Church is a member of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) and as a Pentecostal Church is affiliated with the Pentecostal/Charismatic Churches of North America (PCCNA).

The term "Foursquare" stands for the four-fold ministry of Jesus Christ as the Savior (Romans 10:9), Baptizer with the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:16), Healer (1 Peter 2:24) and coming King (Acts 1:11).

KIDS & YOUTH

Our children, youth and young people come together to learn about Christ and the powerful relationship that they can have. The games, teachings, music, and friendships they experience in their gatherings are all a part of a life of worship. Our prayer for our children, youth, and young adults falls in line with the old chorus:

"As we gather may Your Spirit work within us..."

May your Spirit work with in them, Lord. May Your Spirit shine through them so brightly that it would ignite Your Spirit within us. May they impact their world with the power of Your love, the strength of Your word and a confidence that comes from the saving grace of Jesus Christ!

CHILDREN

Kids In the Kingdom

Our goal at Kids in the Kingdom is to partner with the parent to develop kids who will follow Jesus for the rest of their lives. Through dynamic curriculum and worship, dedicated small group leaders, focused weekly devotionals, and lots of prayer we are doing our best to fulfill the call of Psalm 78.

"We will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders. For he issued his laws to Jacob; he gave his instructions to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, so the next generation might know them - even the children not yet born - and they in turn will teach their own children. So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands." (Psalm 78:4-7)

Elementary age kids are in constant state of discovery. Think about all the different things are trying for the first time and what they're learning every day, even how to make (and keep) friends. How can we tap into the way kids are naturally wired to discover, so they can begin to experience for themselves who God is, how He sees them and how much He loves them? How can we show them God's big story and help them discover the active party they can play in this life-long adventure, to be more like Him?

KIDZ CENTER SCHOOL
Our Mission at Kidz Center School is to develop a solid educational foundation for each child in a loving Christian environment. Our goal is to facilitate the growth of each child spiritually, academically, physically, emotionally and socially.

Our responsibility to each student is to provide a safe environment that will encourage maximum development educationally. Our aim is to promote development of individual learning styles by keeping our teacher/student ratio at a small and personalized level. Our desire is to work hand-in-hand with parents to "train a child in the way he should go."

YOUTH

Connection and UTURN's main components are: Prayer, Worship, fellowship and God’s word

We believe that fellowship is essential to maintaining a healthy Christian lifestyle. Connection is a safe place for young people to openly share their struggles, successes and how life effects their growing faith. We want every young person to have a personal encounter with Jesus AND share their faith with others. A big part of what we do at Connection is helping to make God’s word relevant in a young person’s life. In regards to faith, most teens have two basic questions: “Why should I believe?” and “What is my purpose in life?”. God has all the answers and by exploring His word, worshiping Him in song, and being diligent in our prayers, we believe answers will be found. The goal of every believer is best summed up :

“But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,” 1 Peter 3:15.

UTURN: 6th-9th grades “ A Dynamic place 2 B!”

“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

God is a dynamic God and has a dynamic plan for every young person’s life! Everything we do at Uturn Is dynamic; our worship, hearing God’s word, fellowship and prayer. We want the young people of today to be excited about God. Uturn is a fun, safe place where kids will encounter Jesus, and be accepted. We desire to help them learn and grow in their faith and encourage them to serve Jesus, in their lives and in the church, for a lifetime. Every single young person is important to us. We have a loving and devoted staff made up of adults and high school youth excited to meet new people and make them feel welcomed.

ADULT MINISTRIES
Our overall purpose at City Center is to build the church, shape the community, and touch nations. Building the church is what we are all about here at City Center. By being connected we learn what it means to grow closer to God and grow closer to one another. God’s direction for us is to love one another, carry each other’s burdens, and encourage one another. MENS MINISTRY

As the men of City Center we are really devoted to one another as brothers. We gather for bible studies, missions trips, men's retreats, and building projects. All of these gathering are opportunities for us as men to connect with other men and to live out a life dedicated to Christ.

WOMENS MINISTRY

The women of City Center strive to seek God and His strength through Bible Studies, home groups as well as events that bring us together to encourage, help and love one another. Being in relationship, for us, means walking along side each other, extending a listening ear and a helping hand. Seeking God’s strength is having faith that he can do all things in all aspects of our daily lives; All Things Are Possible "With man it is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." Mark 10:27. We believe that God desires to be in relationship with us as we are in relationship with others. Please join us for one of our studies or events as we seek God together.

EXTENDED MISSIONS
Missionary Luke Valenti

Luke Valenti is a part of the missions organization Open Air Campaigners Albania and is serving in the Evangelical Church of Korca, a city located in Southeast Albania. Part of this training is assisting an existing Albanian youth ministry team as they reach out to the large village of Pojan, located about 20 min outside of Korca. Currently, Luke is helping the team expand their ministry in Pojan by assisting them to launch and grow a Jr. High ministry. Luke has headed back to Albania for another three years in the field and we as a church continue to pray for his success and safety and some of our church are helping to fund his mission.

Please pray for Luke as he continues to learn, grow, and serve the Albanians for Christ.

Puppets and Praise Ministries

Ron and Bonnie Hiller are the founders of Puppets and Praise Ministries, Inc. For the past 35 years they have traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada and overseas, ministering in over 34 different denominational and independent groups.

The vision of the ministry is to bring life and hope through Jesus Christ to children and families, helping them to walk in righteousness. Over 500 people have accepted Christ as their Savior or rededicated their lives to Him during this past year, and many thousands over the years of ministry. Parents and leadership are also encouraged to see the Biblical perspective of training and equipping the children, and are encouraged in their own spiritual growth.

FEARLESS

Fearless One. This is our 2013 lifestyle challenge. To testiy that our God is fearless for us and that we are to believe for being fearless for Him. The scripture that has challenged us is Revelation 12:10-11, "they overcame the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony". Our hope is that we will find a new courage to take our stand against the enemies of our souls. Scripture is full of powerful and moving stories of people who were courageous when courage was the last thing they thought they possessed.

Through the power of Jessu we overcome. Overcome what? We overcome everything that is meant to separate us from our faith in God. In Christ we overcome everything that might normally defeat us. In Christ we are fearless becuase He is fearless.
