Our goal is simple: To change the world one child and one community at a time. Yes, it sounds lofty, but the keys are one child and one community at a time. It's something Kiwanians do every day.
Description
Chances are, you know a Kiwanian. You may have a vague idea of what Kiwanians do, or you may be very familiar with what they do. You may be one yourself, or you may have thought about joining, but didn't think you'd have the time.
Kiwanis was founded in 1915 in Detroit, Michigan, and focused on business networking. The club grew to 200 members in six months. Today, Kiwanis is comprised of 8,400 clubs in 96 nations and there are about 606,608 active members.
The Kiwanis Club of Matthews meets every Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at Jonathan's of Matthews.
