Arin Contemporary Art offers individual consulting and art advisement services for personal and corporate collections.

Naomi Arin has participated in the art world for over twenty years. She uses her experience to develop and tailor a collecting program for each client based on their individual interests and goals. As a client, you will gain a clear understanding of the aesthetic, intellectual and possible investment benefits of collecting art.

We advise experienced and novice collectors with budgets of all sizes. Whether assistance is needed for the purchase of a single work or with the planning and development of a collection over time, Arin Contemporary Art will assist with your art related needs.

 

Arin Contemporary Art offers a full range of art advisement services:

Consulting Services:

• In order to create a collection as specific and as unique as each individual or corporation, we interview our clients in their home or office to determine the client’s aesthetic preferences, the possible locations for the artwork or collection, the proposed budget, and we establish a project timeline, if applicable.
• Once we gain an understanding of the client's goals, needs and aesthetic interests, we then begin the process of proposing art for purchase from a wide range of sources including regional, national, and international galleries, private dealers, unaffiliated artists' studios, and works for resale from auctions, individual and corporate clients.
• We suggest and select artists to commission or create site-specific artworks.
• We thoroughly research each proposed artist's exhibition history and auction records to assist clients in making an educated decision regarding the artist's inclusion in their collection.
• We then research each work offered for sale to determine its provenance (prior ownership-if applicable), its condition as well as any special accommodations that may be necessary for the shipping, installation and care of the work.
• Based on our research, we then present an individualized proposal outlining art work for potential purchase.
• After presenting our initial proposa, we work carefully with our clients to add and subtract works from the plan based on the client's interest level and price considerations.

Purchasing Process:

• We negotiate all art purchases for our clients seeking the best price and quality available.
• Commission services include the preparation, negotiation and administration of the commission agreement on the client's behalf.
• We organize proper art shipping from the gallery, artists’ studio or prior owner to our client’s desired destination. We inspect the artwork upon arrival to insure that no damage occurred during transport.

Ongoing Services:

• We present both formal and informal educational presentations to groups of all sizes about art and the art market.
• We organize and contract museum quality framing to provide optimum protection and presentation of a client’s art work
• We contract with professional art installers to insure proper installation and exhibition of a single work or a clients entire collection.
• We appraise the value of art/art collections for insurance and documentation purposes.
• We develop collection maintenance protocols based on the art work in the collection
• We establish and maintain registrarial files to assist collectors in keeping track of the objects in their collections.
• We develop and produce catalogues of client’s art collections
• We resell previously owned art work
• We travel with clients to art destinations around the world to view and purchase works of art, build relationships with galleries and art dealers, and stay current with the most recent trends and issues developing in the art world.
• We bid for clients at auctions internationally and assist clients in working with auctions houses for sale of art work at auction.
