Our founder, Chad Root, was trained in architectural design and business. Consequently, our approach leverages the best of both worlds. We truly take a design point of view when it comes to imagination and development of concepts and plans. Just like structural requirements bring reality to artistic buildings, our business minded approach addresses our clients bottom line.

Spearhead was founded in July 2006. Each of our founder's three previous employers entrusted him with profit and loss responsibility. Growing through the ranks, Chad had numerous roles including general management, operations, sales, marketing and engineering. The companies were Fremont Die Cut Products, (returnable packaging, Fremont OH), Freeman Company, (Thermoform and Die Cut Tooling, Fremont OH) and Fast Heat (Injection Mold Tooling & Capital Equipment, Elmhust IL). He has a track record of large account penetration with companies such as General Motors, Sweetheart/Solo Cup, Genpak, Plastech, Letica, and Rehrig Pacific to name a few. Chad earned a B.S. in Architecture from The Ohio State University in 1993 and a MBA from Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, in 2000.
