Wedding Catering

At Pumpernickel’s, our mission, and our passion, is to help you create the vision you have for your reception. We realize that you have been picturing this day for years, and it is our job to help turn that vision into reality. With over 15 years experience and hundreds of weddings at dozens of venues, we are uniquely qualified to help turn your dream into reality.

We will help you through the entire process- food tasting and menu selection, room layout and design, linen selection, and timing of the event. We will make sure that every detail is covered. We also have a network of vendors, including djs, florists, photographers, and cake decorators. You are welcome to use who you wish, but we can help put you in touch with the area’s best if you need.

While we realize that a wedding reception is never an inexpensive event, we promise to make the pricing as straightforward as possible. We will never try to sneak extra charges in at the end. From the time you make your food and beverage choices you will have a clear idea of how much your reception catering will cost. We have no desire to be the cheapest caterer, but the pricing structure should always be clear and predictable, with no surprises.

Corporate Catering

Whether you are in need of a last minute lunch for fifteen, a hot dinner for fifty, or hors d'oeuvres for five hundred, we can accommodate all of your needs. Pumpernickel’s provides generous portions of fresh, innovative fare at reasonable prices, presented tastefully, and delivered on time. This menu presents an overview of our offerings. Other foods and "theme menus" are available, and whenever possible we are happy to create customized menus tailored to your event and tastes.

Athenian Ballroom

The Athenian ballroom sits atop the former hotel Elkhart. Nine stories high, it overlooks the city from the ballroom itself, as well as an outdoor deck. Beautifully Victorian in style and décor, The Ballroom can accommodate up to 250 guests, and features plenty of windows, intricate moldings and high ceilings. Built in 1928, The Athenian is located on the corner of Main and Marion, just a block from the Elco Theatre and the Elkhart Chamber of commerce.

Room rental for a Saturday is $600, and includes all necessary tables, chairs, china, and linen. There is also a smaller banquet room on the first floor of the building that can accommodate up to 60 guests for rehearsal dinners, etc.

Spohn Ballroom

The Spohn Building was built in 1909. It is located on the corner of Main Street & Clinton Street in Goshen, Indiana. The ballroom is on the third floor of this historic building with windows wrapping around the corner of the building with exceptional views of the downtown area.
The Spohn Ballroom has been totally renovated while keeping the historical character of the building. Wonderful architectural details have been restored while adding new amenities to satisfy today's modern couple. Room rental for a Saturday event is $950.

With over 4200 square feet, the Spohn can comfortably accommodate up to 275 guests. There is also a smaller banquet room for rehearsal dinners, bridal and baby showers, and smaller events for up to 45 guests.
