Tony's Famous Smoke Shop has become a classic, but it didn't happen overnight. Thanks to you we are celebrating our 9th anniversary in 2011. Tony's Smoke Shop Crew and many others like you have been part of Tony's special ambience, it's golden history, which began, naturally, with a man called Tony.

A colorful local character, Tony established a fabulous Portland tradition when he served his first Hookah at the Tony's Pizzeria in 2002. In the year that followed, Tony became experienced in the subtle art of preparing and serving Hookah. By 2003, he was ready to set his own personal stamp on the Hookah Community that had opened for business at S.E. McLoughlin Blvd.

Knowing what you want is a great asset in business, as in life. Tony always knew. His smoke shop attracted enthusiasts, talkative travelers, and exuberant entertainers from up and down the West Coast and across the nation. People traded stories in the shop and at the lounge. Quite often, on big events at Tony's Milwaukie & Tony's Portland, hundreds of customers a night would gather at Tony's and enjoy a refreshing Hookah experience. Sultan Tobacco decided to open their manufacturing building just a few blocks away from Tony's - one wonders if that was for the proximity of Hookah tobacco deliveries or because he wanted to be within' walking distance of his favorite shop.

Exhilarating, flavorful, comfortable, Tony's continues to attract a special crowd. When Tony's became a full featured retail shop in 2005, Tony reaffirmed Tony's Smoke Shops' standard of quality and selection. Today, Tony's draws on the Northwest superlative, award-winning best; smoking accessories bought locally and flown in from around the world, with an unsurpassed selection.
