The Kid Shop is owned by Debbie Huggins, a graduate of Oregon State University with a degree in Fashion Merchandise. After graduation, she took a position with JC Penney in Corvallis, managing the children's department. That experience, coupled with her fashion background at OSU and the birth of her own two daughters, gave her the expertise she needed to purchase, revamp, remodel, and expand upon a location that had been a children's store since the 1940's. Debbie has been doing this for over 26 years, along with raising 5 children and assisting her husband, Tom Huggins, founder and manager of Eola Hills Wine Cellars. Debbie loves serving her community through The Kid Shop by offering unique products for kids and moms to be. She travels to various trade shows in Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Seattle to bring the latest in fashion and specialty toys to Corvallis. Her personal philosophy for The Kid Shop has been to serve the community by offering quality, unique children's products at reasonable prices and provide superb customer service. Debbie is assisted by Charleen Evans, her manager.
