Skander Tire Services, Inc.was started in 1969 when Richard Skander, after a few years of selling tires out of his truck, settled along route 68 in Evans City.

His two young sons started coming in after high school to learn the business. Soon they were full time employees, each finding their niche in the industry. Richard has since retired, and the boys run the shop.

Currently, we sell and service all types of tires and related materials. We service all types of passenger vehicles, installing new tires, and repairing your existing tires.

We service the farm sector with new tires and repairs, in our shop or in the field.

We also service industry: from off road construction to manufacturing plants with new tires and repairs, in our shop or in your plant.

Skander Tire is still a family owned business today, with Randy and Rick at the helm. We still do business as Richard did many years ago.

When you come to our counter, we talk to you, find out what is going to be the best tire for your vehicle. We will not sell you four tires if you don’t need them. We will not put something on your vehicle that is not safe, just because it looks cool.

Unlike the discount and chain stores, the majority of our employees have been with us for over 7 years, giving us a group of professionals that can assist you in your purchase.
