The Wilson Hardware Company first opened its doors in 1907 in the heart of downtown Wilson, where they have been serving the needs of eastern North Carolina for more than 100 years.  The owner, John Bowie Gray,  is the grandson of the original owner and has been a part of the family business since 1964.

We carry a full range of commercial restaurant grade polished aluminum cookware in sizes from 3 to 22 quarts.   We have Presto and Mirro pressure cookers and canners as well as replacement gaskets and pressure valves for some of the older models.  We also carry commercial fry pans and cast iron cookware.   Also in stock are double boilers, black enamel roasters, crab and oyster steamers as well as cake pans with the old-fashion ones with the rotating cutter.  Salad and meat choppers in three sizes with easy grip wood handles are an every day item for us.  And don’t forget those gas fired turkey and fish fryers, along with gas and electric outdoor grills. 

At Wilson Hardware, you will find a large selection of Gourmet Village items, including Apple Bakers, Triple Dip Chiller, teas and spices as well as other kitchen tools by Rubbermaid, Pyrexware and others.  Hand and table mixers, electric and hand can openers by Sunbeam, Rival and others, along with single and double burner hot plates and food warmers are all found in our Houseware department.  We also have a large selection of stoneware baking pans, cake carry plates and serving trays along with decorative paper towel holders, wine racks and napkin holders to finish your kitchen decorations.  And don’t forget, for those hot summer days, we carry White Mountain hand crank and electric ice cream freezers in 4 and 6 quart sizes. 

You will find pewter and brass candlesticks by Concord Candles.  Baldwin Christmas and year-round ornaments as well as wedding charms, pottery mugs and bowls and a large selection of imported Australian soaps, scented candles and air fresheners.  You can also find pocket knives from Schrader, Case, Buck and Old Timer - sold individually or in gift boxed sets along with sharpening stones.  We have unique LED flashlights with brilliant white adjustable focus beams that come in several styles and sizes.  You can find anything from binoculars and metal detectors to Red Ryder, Crossman and Benjamin air rifles at Wilson Hardware.

We even offer free gift wrapping. 

No hardware store can be complete without a complete selection of hand tools and Wilson Hardware is no exception.  We have carpenters hammers of all sizes - 12, 16 and 20 oz. - as well as rubber mallets, ball peen, machinist and brick mason tools.  Pliers of all styles, pipe and adjustable wrenches, drill bits, tape measures, folding rules and calipers are all in stock.  Master Padlocks are a specialty. We have them in many sizes and they can be keyed differently or alike as needed.  Check with us for that old style or obsolete tool, we might just have what you are looking for.  

Wilson Hardware features a large variety of collectables including Madame Alexander dolls (mostly from the 70’s & 80’s), Portrettes, Story Book and Baby Dolls, along with Raggedy Ann and Andy.  We also have many of the NASCAR licensed die-cast race cars and transport trucks, as well as other die-cast replica cars and trucks.  And while you are visiting our store, enjoy our operating Lionel Train layout - with engines, cars and accessories from the 1940’s and 50’s.
