The Clara Baldwin Stocker Home was founded in 1963 by Clara Stocker, the daughter of "Lucky Baldwin," a famous land developer who owned much of the San Gabriel Valley in the 1920's. Clara Stocker personally set aside funding for this home in her will. The sole purpose of her bequest was to create a home of women who were without support from their families and who could no longer care for themselves. 

The Clara Baldwin Stocker Home, built by Lucky's great grandson in 1963, is part of her generous legacy. Over the ensuing years, the home accepted men as well as women, and its grounds have been continually expanded to provide the services and caring environment originally envisioned by Clara Baldwin Stocker.

Her long tradition of compassion has also been handed down from generation to generation. Today, the ancestors of Lucky Baldwin are still actively involved in the day-to-day management of the home.

While providing physical comfort for men and women is our primary concern, we place an equally high regard in providing our residents with a quality of life that is highly personal and personable. Because we are a small institution, we are able to give every one of our residents the friendly, personal attention that tomes from being part of our family. Our pleasant, apartment-like setting is designed to give every individual a sense of belonging, dignity, privacy and self respect. In short we do our best to provide every resident with a real feeling of home.

As for family visits, our is always open. We believe friends and family are vital to everyone's quality of life. Relatives and friends are encouraged to visit, spend time and in the care for their loved ones. In addition to offering tasteful accommodations, we also have beautifully landscape gardens and park areas that are open and inviting.

The Clara Baldwin Stocker Home has provided quality care for the community since 1963. During this tenure the home's management has been actively involved in many local governments and civic groups, offering support to maintain the high level of safety and quality of life in the surrounding neighborhoods. This participation has enhanced the comfort and peace of mind shared by all of our residents, their families and the adjoining communities.
