We do more than sell insurance. Building a relationship with your insurance advisor is key in developing a long-term plan that works best for you. We will help you determine your exact needs for insurance coverage. Your needs and the insurance industry are constantly changing. To keep up with these changes, Kiefer Insurance strives to create a long-term working relationship with our clients to help you adjust along the way. We hope to ensure that the decisions you are making today will provide you with the coverage you expect tomorrow.

Disability Insurance

Could you survive a disability? Most people don't think there could come a time when they might not be able to work. Unfortunately, an injury or illness often comes without warning. If you were unable to work tomorrow, would you be able to replace your income or survive without it for a month? How about six months, a year or even five years? LetDisability us explain the benefits of short-term and long-term disability coverage so that you are covered in case of an emergency or illness.

Health Insurance

We offer health insurance coverage for businesses, individuals and families. There are several types of plans such as PPO & HMO. These policies have different benefits such as co-pays for visits to the doctor and deductibles for hospitals stays. Covered expenses include prescription drugs, surgery, lab work, emergency room visits and various other medical expenses.

There is a newer type of coverage called the Health Savings Account (HSA). It is an alternative to the traditional insurance plan. It works like an IRA except that the money is used to pay for health care expenses. HSAs allows people to pay for current health expenses and save for unexpected future expenses on a tax-free basis.

A person must have a HiBannergh Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) in order to have an HSA. The HDHP usually costs less than traditional health insurance, so the money that you save on premiums can be put into the HSA.

A tax-deductible savings account can be opened to cover current and future medical expenses. The money deposited can be deducted on your 1040 tax return and it can be withdrawn tax-free to pay for qualified medical expenses. You control the money in your HSA. You decide how to spend the money in your account without a health insurance company telling you what to do.

Life Insurance

Kiefer Insurance wants you to make the most informed decision possible when planning for your family's financial security. There are many financial responsibilities that your loved ones may have. These include the mortgage your spouse will have to pay, as well as the cost of your children's education, childcare expenses, healthcare, funeral expenses and so on. These can add up quickly. Discussing your requirements with a licensed professional can help ease the burden and provide peace of mind.

Had A Check-Up Lately?  Have you had your life insurance reviewed in the last three to four years? Chances are you may be paying too much or you may be able to get more coverage without paying any extra money. Please contact us for a no obligationCouple evaluation of your coverage.

Long-Term Care Insurance

Are you prepared for long-term care expenses? Nearly two-thirds of people over age 65 will need long-term care at home or through adult day health care, or care in an assisted living facility or nursing home. While most people think of long-term care as impacting only those in senior years, 40 percent of people currently receiving long term care services are ages 18 to 64.* Failure to plan ahead may put your retirement lifestyle at risk. The average cost for long-term care in a nursing home in Florida is $76,777 for a semiprivate room and $83,950 for a private room. **

Medicare

At age 65, most people enroll in Medicare Part A & Medicare Part B. Medicare only covers about 80% of Part B expenses. You are responsible for the other 20%. The two options below provide Medicaremore comprehensive coverage.

1.You can enroll in Medicare Part D (prescription drug coverage) that helps cover prescriptions. Additionally, buying a Medigap or Medicare Supplement policy is one way to cover the 20% that Medicare does not pay. You are allowed to use any physician and hospital you choose.

2.You can enroll in Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage Plan). This is approved by Medicare and managed by insurance companies. It combines Part A, Part B and sometimes Part D coverage. This is similar to PPO & HMO plans which have co-pays or deductibles instead of the 20% balance that Medicare does not cover. The benefits depend upon the plan you select.

Call Kiefer Insurance to arrange a no obligation explanation of these Medicare choices. We represent a carefully selected group of financially sound and reputable insurance companies to offer you the best service possible and most comprehensive coverage at competitive prices. We do more than sell insurance. We provide peace of mind.
