Details

The Hockessin Athletic Club is Delaware's Premier Fitness Facility. Not your average gym, HAC offers over 90 pieces of cardio equipment, free weights, machine weights, and two machine circuits on our main fitness floor, as well as a separate free weight room and guided express workout area. The Health Club also features a 5-pool aquatics complex, including an indoor waterpark, warm water therapy pool, whirlpool, lap pool, and outdoor pool. Additionally, HAC has a full-size basketball court, adult only locker rooms with saunas and steamrooms, a family locker room, childcare, kids’ play area, and several programs and activities for children and adults. Hockessin Athletic Club features a warm, inviting atmosphere, and has often been likened to a country club. HAC isn't just a place to "workout," it's a staple in the Hockessin community that helps you to implement health in all aspects of your lifestyle.

The Hockessin Athletic Club (HAC) opened its doors June 10, 2007 after the transformation of a 12 acre mushroom processing site. The owners of the club, Bob Carpenter and Roger Ralph, between them had over 40 years industry experience and set out to create a unique family and community oriented health club second to none. Today, HAC is the only tax paying health club in the United States bordered by a state park. The effective use of the land for both the club and beautiful Tweed’s Park reflects the cooperative effort of the Delaware Department of Transportation, HAC, and the Hockessin community. The foundation for what the club does and its commitment to serve its members and community well are inherent to the Club’s philosophy and culture.
