Wilfried Huller arrived in the United States from Germany in 1960, trained in the art of sausage making. Settling in a predominately European community in Hoboken. NJ, he opened his first store on Washington Avenue in 1968. In 1972, after several successful years, Huller’s Black Forest moved to a larger store in Jackson, NJ and it was here that the business really began to grow. What first began as a retail and wholesale butcher shop, expanded to a specialty market with catering and mail order services and a full service German restaurant, enjoying numerous awards along the way.

Huller's Black Forest produces the finest meat products available, still made in the authentic European tradition. Our products have been featured in "Wine & Dine" Gourmet magazine, as well as the "Robb Report" in their "Best of the Best" issue, and are sure to impress even the most discriminating palate. We use only fresh hand-selected and trimmed all natural pork and beef, mixed along with natural spices, and smoked over natural hardwoods. Huller's Black Forest products have always been made without MSG, artificial colors, or artificial fillers, and are naturally lower in sodium than other brands.
