Schlotzsky's came back to Waco in 1994 when Mike and Kristen Pool moved to town and opened their first location on N. Valley Mills Drive. Two years later, a second location was established on I-35 near Baylor. In 2009, the N. Valley Mills restaurant was relocated to a newer, larger building with a "lotz better" look and feel. Wacoans were treated to world famous cinnamon rolls when a Cinnabon express bakery was added at both Schlotzsky's locations.

The first Schlotzsky's opened in Austin in 1971 with a single, one-of-a-kind sandwich. The Original created a passionate customer following with its unique combination of premium meats, cheeses and black olives served on hot Schlotzsky's sourdough bread. The Pools are proud to be the Schlotzsky's franchise owners in Waco, where they raise two sons (both of whom could spell Schlotzsky's by the age of three). Mike and Kristen support many community causes through their time and donations.

So, whether you prefer the tried and true flavor of The Original sandwich, the zesty taste of the BBQ Chicken & Jalapeño pizza, or the crispness of the Cranberry, Apple, Pecan & Chicken salad, Schlotzsky's has something for you! And don't forget dessert...Cinnabon, anyone?
