About Us

Before 2004 where could one find coffee on the northside of Racine? No where. Mocha Lisa was developed out of a need for my own coffee enjoyment. I wanted a place to go for a cup of joe that was relaxing and as enjoyable as having a cup in my own home.

Mocha Lisa is a combination of an arty atmosphere and great coffee served by an awesome bunch of people. I developed my coffeehouse idea after visiting two of my favorite Door County haunts: Monticello and Java on Jefferson, both in Sturgeon Bay. I strongly suggest visiting them if you head north. Both businesses function out of old homes like my shop. Monticello is fabulous for gifts; for yourself and for your dearest friends. Java on Jefferson serves the BEST butterscotch scones in the WORLD. Both are tres’ arty and the atmospheres make you want to go home and create something wonderful.

After finding my coffeehouse location I found the perfect coffee, Alterra. My theme within the shop is to support local(s). Hence the coffee and bakery from Milwaukee and the art that is sold within on consignment is from area artists. Keeping it local ya know!

Coffees come as whole bean 1# pound in a reusable vaccuumed packed bag. Price is usually $10.75 per pound for non-organic. If you need the beans ground, just ask! For availablity just call us at 262.681.2644.

The coffee beans for our Brazil Natural Dry are dried directly on their trees. This method creates a powerful and very distinct aroma and taste that is full-bodied, nutty, and unlike any other coffee. Our Brazil Natural Dry is also a 100% bourbon coffee.
