INTRODUCTION  

Harmony Integrative Medicine is born of the belief that blending the trusted traditions of ancient wisdom with the best of modern biomedicine affords a truly comprehensive path to health.  With that in mind, we strive to work closely with the western physicians of our patients to coordinate a balanced health care plan uniquely suited to their needs. Increasingly, American patients and doctors alike are coming to realize that conventional biomedicine is superb when it comes to surgery, emergency and trauma.  However, alternative medicines like Acupuncture and Oriental medicine often are more effective for chronic, degenerative conditions like heart disease, arthritis, endocrine and metabolic disease and for more common ailments such as asthma, gastrointestinal disorders, uro-genital disorders, headaches and allergies, to name a few. 

Harmony Integrative Medicine provides advanced acupuncture and herbal medicines using the treatment model practiced in China. This model allows us to offer this medicine to the whole community with significantly reduced fees. 

OUR APPROACH 

Our practice model is the way acupuncture was designed to be received and the same treatment experience that is practiced in China; that being when acupuncture therapy is administered daily or every other day, for several days in a row, followed by a short break of 1- days, then another course of therapy as needed until the symptoms have been alleviated.  This model produces significant relief and resolution in 1-3 weeks rather than the 10-20 weeks or more it generally takes with the once-per-week American model and at a fraction of the cost!  In addition to our lovely private treatment rooms, our patients may choose to relax comfortably in our serene semi-private group setting, fully clothed, on cushioned zero-gravity recliners, at a substantial savings.  This setting with soft lighting, music and the sound of soothing fountains makes for an even more effective treatment as the dynamic of Qi flow is improved exponentially.  Using this model we are able to provide truely excellent treatment, yet offer the medicine to more in-need people by reducing the cost per session dramatically.

Harmony Integrative Medicine wants to provide you with the "Emperor's medicine at the peoples price."  Our practice wants to make it possible for you to receive acupuncture regularly enough and long enough to get better and stay better!  We want to give you the tools to take care of your own health so that you will not need to rely on corporations like Big Insurance or Big Pharmaceuticals for costly, high-tech interventions.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT 

An extensive medical history, examination and report of findings will be completed during your initial appointment.  An acupuncture treatment may follow this exam or be scheduled for the following day.  Acupuncture treatments generally last 40-60 minutes whether in a private room or in the group room.  Most patients report a sense of deep relaxation and well being; some even fall asleep during treatment.   

OUR FEE SCHEDULE

Is based on a seven-day period of time we refer to as a "treatment week".  The first appointment is $90 ($45 examination and consultation and $45 treatment).  A second appointment in a treatment week is $35 and subsequent treatments within the week are $30. We do offer private rooms for those that require them at $65 per treatment.
