NewsRadio1620 is proudly locally owned and operated by Dave and Mary Hoxeng, who were honored as "Business Leaders of The Year" at the 50th Annual Pace Awards, hosted by Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. NewsRadio1620 was established in 2007, four years later than its sister station Cat Country 98.7.

NewsRadio1620 is the Pensacola Home Station for Dave Ramsey, Dennis Miller and Rodger Hedgecock. Each day, the station offers eight hours of local talk, including local news updates every 30 minutes. NewsRadio1620 caters to Gulf Breeze, Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties. 

Pensacola's News Talk Station is known to provide the most up-to-date information about Pensacola.
