Sport Supplements was founded in 2006 in the lovely town of Bend, Oregon by Bill Haynes and Joshua and Danielle Zepess. Josh and Bill, both avid fitness and bodybuilding nuts, decided to join forces with both their brains and brawn to offer Bend only those supplements that actually work. This was no small task, as it sometimes meant Bill and Josh ended up as science experiments (insert rat joke here). They just couldn't stand watching people buy supplements that didn't work or using them incorrectly. Who will save us?
Bill and Josh, of course. They did their best to educate those trying to build muscle, lose fat, or reach any fitness goal. They explained how diet, exercise, and rest were far more important than supplements. Yes, you heard correclty. They sold such sound advice (for free) and would offer only those supplements that could benefit the customer. They even discussed how and why to use them. If anyone was not satisfied, Bill and Josh gladly accepted them back and helped their customer find an alternative method to reach their goals.
The locals appreciated it and the business began to grow. Even in the face of competition, Sport Supplements grew its base of loyal customers. In 2007, the pair joined forces with new owner Michelle Haynes and introduced a second store. This one would be found in a local gym, allowing them to offer wraps and shakes in addition to supplements. Michelle took a store in dire need of attention and shaped it up to the success it is today. Danielle was always available to help too. As a bonus, Bill and Josh were there in the gym to help their customers maximize their progress.
While trying to carry only the best supplements, there was still something lacking. The four owners ventured into the production of their own protein. After all, they knew exactly what they wanted in a quality protein: quality and taste. If you have ever tasted protein powder, you will know that this is no easy feat. Nonetheless, the fantastic four blazed ahead and produced their brand name Extreme Protein. It was exactly what they were looking for and soon there was a big clamor in town. They couldn't keep the protein on the shelves. Anyone who tried it wanted to instantly switch and the Sport Supplements group wasn't prepared for such an overwhelming response.
So here we are in 2008. Two successful stores and the company's first venture into cyberspace. Their confidence in their protein is so high, they are launcing the site almost exclusively for this purpose. Of course there will be other effective products to complement the protein, but the Sport Supplements team knows that one taste is all they need to hook you.
