Ola, we are Maria and José and we started the Ramirez Mexican Store & Taqueria in 2007. The dream of cooking great Mexican food and serving it at our own restaurant, began many years ago. Our unique style of cooking authentic Mexican food is one that our family members loved and appreciated, and one we hope others would as well.

Once you enter our doors, you will see that we are not your traditional Mexican Food Restaurant. However, we are Authentico! We are located in the South Gate Shopping Plaza in Tumwater, just off Trosper. You will also notice that we are a Mexico Grocery Store and we sell all sorts of food products so you can prepare your own authentic Mexican meals at home. We pride ourselves in providing quality Beef, Pork and Chicken for your own recipes. We also stock vegetables, fresh tortillas and canned goods. Lastly, have some fun shopping for Authentic Mexican toys and decorations for your home or next party. Venga rápido (come quick).  

About Mexican Food: 

Mexican food is one of the popular cuisines of the world with the famous tacos, nachos or the enchiladas - Mexican delights have satisfied the taste buds of food-lovers all over the world. Popular Mexican dishes are now available in multi-cuisine restaurants across the globe and we are proud to serve many of these here at Ramirez. We know that Mexican cuisine is much more than the popular spicy salsa and the refreshing guacamole. At Ramirez, we attempt to bring you the various culinary influences that remind you of Old Mexico.

Mexican Cuisine Today:

The Mexican cuisine is a blend of many influences, however there still exists diversity in the cuisine according to the regional differences in Mexico. Mexican food varies by region, and is influenced by the local climate, geography and ethnic differences among the inhabitants. The northern Mexico is famous for its beef production and meat dishes, whereas southeastern Mexico, is known for its spicy vegetable and chicken-based preparations. On the other hand, seafood is commonly prepared in the states of Mexico, which border the Pacific Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico. Here is a list of some dishes served here:
