Located in Historical Downtown Lake Charles, J&R Carriage is Lake Charles' only full time carriage service. Enjoy a romantic, relaxing ride in one of our beautiful New Orleans style carriages pulled by our well-trained Belgian Mules. Enjoy the cool breeze from our beautiful lake as you travel down Bor du Lac drive. Sit back and relax with a guided tour through Historic Downtown with history filled buildings and some of the most popular restaurants and night clubs in Southwest Louisiana.

The Charpentier Historical District is a must for someone looking for fine architect and history-filled homes built in the 1800 to 1900s. Most were built by the powerful and prosperous Timber Barons, back when Lake Charles was a booming timber town. The district is filled with unique architecture distinct to Lake Charles. As the Timber Barons tried to out do each other, they created some of the most outstanding designs and details around.

 

We are conveniently located at a number of spots on scenic Bord du Lac Drive. You're welcome to meet us there, or we can pick you up at the location of your choice
