Welcome to Brad's Guitars!

Hi, my name is Brad Mundwiler. I’d like to take a moment to acquaint you with who I am, and how I have acquired 35 years of experience.

I’m a professional player who came to my trade out of natural curiosity, having torn apart a number of Strats, Jazzmasters, and Les Paul’s, trying to “Modify” them to suit my specific requirements. In the process I learned sometimes through trial & error, but I learned.  Already well into it I later in the 1980’s spent an amount of time with Wayne Charvelle of Charvelle guitar fame, and honed my skills even more and became a qualified builder and repairman.

Since then I’ve been a guitar tech for Five stores, as well as having my own shop where many area players bring me work.  I’m a FENDER warranty repairman as well as doing GIBSON/EPIPHONE warranty work through my Riverside affiliate, “The Amp Doctor”.

My passion is guitars, all aspects of them, and my mission is to keep it as affordable as possible, never cutting quality in the interest of price or speed. I work hard at this and get things done in a timely manner.

  • As to my prices, check around, I know I’m extremely competitive and include “Fret Dress” and “Re-Crown” in my set up price. My Philosophy is simple; no job is too small, no guitar deserves less attention than the next, and I love them all. Your “Hondo” will receive the same attention as a “Les Paul” or “Benedetto”.
  • Truly, young players often quit because of how bad their inexpensive “starter” guitars play, and that’s a shame. If you trust me with your “Baby”, whatever it is, know that I will give it my expert attention in a TIMELY manner at the BEST PRICE possible.
  • I can do most electronic modifications: “Hot Rod” Wiring, Intermittencies, Pick Up Replacements, Wax Potting, Re-Fret, Crack-Repair, Refinish, Headstock Reset, Neck Reset, Bridge Replacement (Electric & Acoustic, including custom wood working on older out of production acoustic bridges). Other structural breaks (I’ve resurrected guitars so badly broken that they were literally dead & buried…ask me!)
  • I am also a custom builder and do so on a “by the order” basis.  I love to brainstorm with you and bring your concepts to life.  Prices again are less than the “custom shop” guitars on the market, and we would be creating a ONE OF A KIND instrument.

I have also built faithful, weathered, historic replicas of some famous guitars before the “relic series” guitars started.
