When it comes to conditioning the air inside your home, not all companies are created equal. Simply put, Petrie's One Hour is the Upper Cumberland’s premier choice for residential heating, cooling and indoor air quality services. We are the largest residential service and repair company in the area.
Petrie's One Hour operates from offices in Cookeville and Crossville, Tenn. We are fully insured and maintain a Tennessee Contractor’s license (#00030864). All of our team members are professionally trained to deliver “Positively Outrageous Service” to every client, every time.
In addition, all of our technicians proudly wear the Technician Seal of Safety, which ensures your peace of mind. This means that all our employees have been background checked, drug tested and professionally trained. We are the only HVAC company in Middle Tennessee that has earned this designation. Go to mysafetyseal.com for more information.
Not only will preventive maintenance extend the life of your HVAC equipment, but it will also keep you from overpaying the utility company. As one of our Discount Club members, you will receive regularly scheduled preventive maintenance in addition to a wide array of other great benefits. Over 1,600 clients are already enjoying these benefits and continue to renew our services year after year.
We are also the only company in Middle Tennessee that has the special training and instrumentation to perform a Whole House Air Infiltration Analysis. This analysis enables you to know the “tightness” of your home and where any “bad stuff” may be entering your air space.
So if you haven’t tried Petrie's One Hour before, we would welcome the opportunity to become your HVAC contractor of choice. We’re sure you’ll see what we mean by POSITIVELY OUTRAGEOUS SERVICE!

Services
Petrie’s One Hour takes the "Whole House Approach" to our service. Rather than just showing up when something breaks down, we specialize in preventative maintenance with our "One Hour Comfort Club Maintenance Plan". This maintenance plan keeps your HVAC systems running efficiently, corrects problems that lead to major repairs if left unchecked, and keeps you in comfort all year long.
Our Whole House Infiltration Test checks your entire home including your duct system for leaks which suck in "bad air".
The United States Department of Energy in a 1996 study found that
- "Typical duct systems lose 25 to 40 percent of the heating or cooling energy put out by the central furnace, heat pump, or air conditioner. Duct repairs could be the most important energy improvement measure you can do."
- "Leakage in the duct system can be hazardous to your health. Especially problematic are leaky returns in an enclosed space or garage that also contains the furnace."
- "You should not attempt to repair duct leaks. Safe duct leak repair requires a licensed heating, ventilation, and air conditioning contractor... one that has sent their technicians to a good duct repair school."

Check us out at our Web site. [http://www.onehourheatandair.com/]Why should I care about efficiency?
The total cost of an appliance has three components; the purchase price, the cost of repairs and maintenance, and the cost to operate it. The more energy efficient an appliance is, the less it costs to run and the lower your utility bills. Using less energy is good for the environment too; it can reduce air pollution and help conserve natural resources. Is there really that much difference among the various models on the market?
All products must meet minimum energy efficiency standards set by the Department of Energy, but many products beat the standard, use even less energy, and cost less to run.
What makes one system more efficient than another?
Most of the differences are on the inside; in the motors, compressors, pumps, and valves, so even if two models look the same from the outside, these less obvious features can mean a big difference in your monthly utility bills. How can I be sure efficiency claims are not just sales hype?
Manufacturers must use standard tests developed by the Department of Energy to prove the efficiency of their products. Many have these tests performed by independent laboratories. The test results are reported on the EnergyGuide labels, and through fact sheets provided by the manufacturers or in industry association directories.
