Hyam, owner of, Clay Fitness is changing the way Charlottesville looks at fitness.  She offers boutique style, multi-faceted approach to personal training and group excercise.

She believes that popping in and out of random classes doesn’t give people the support to be accountable.  Attending random classes in a traditional gym setting never allows for a strong relationship between coach and client/athlete. 

The group serves as a further motivator and a sense of community.  Your coach knows you, what you are capable of, and what your goals are. 

Programs are a good way to get the benefit of personal training without the high cost. Our 12-16 week programs combine all of the pieces of an effective training program.  Programs begin with an introductory meeting that covers a weigh in/body composition check, a discussion of  current nutrition and a plan of action for changes, and a strength and cardiovascular assessment test.  The programs meet two to five times a week and deliver challenges that are appropriate and measured.  To allow for continued motivation and a sense of progress and accountability,  benchmarking of weight, body composition, strength and cardiovascular fitness are checked at the end of our program.   From here, it’s time to set new goals and sign up for the next challenge in a future program!
